Launched for the 2012 season, this is the first tractor in the sub 36" category to feature a twin bladed cutting system.  The blades are contra rotating and direct the grass cuttings through the wide rear discharge chute into the collector.  A twin bladed deck gives a better finish than a tractor with a single blade.  The collecting is cleaner and more powerful due to the direct centre rear discharge and the throw and air volume generated by two blades.  The cutting result is also visibly improved as a twin bladed deck follows the ground contours better and is therefore less likely to scalp the grass, cutting height range 25mm to 80mm, 7 positions.  The grass cuttings are blown into the large 240 litre rear mounted collector, a large capacity is important as is the collector full alarm which automatically comes on to alert the operator that the collector is full.  The collector is emptied from the drivers seat, simply pull the collector lever to tip out the grass.

The 1430M has a manual transmission with 5 forward gears and reverse.  You simply select the required gear and drive away, you do not change gear as you go along, simply stop, select and drive.

The tractor has a comfortable high back seat which is adjustable to suit the driver, the seat also features a safety switch which cuts the engine if the driver gets out of the seat with the blades running.

To engage the cutting blades, simply pull the switch on the dashboard and the electric clutch does the rest.  To turn off the blades simply push the blade switch and the electric clutch engages a brake which stops the blades in 3 seconds.

The 1430M is powered by a Mountfield 432cc four stroke engine, this OHV engine has loads of power for this tractor.

Manoeuvrability is another important factor to consider when choosing a tractor, with very light steering and an incredibly tight turning circle the Mountfield 1430 is a class leader.

Keeping your tractor in tip-top condition is easy, the cutting deck has a washing port fitted, simply snap on the hose fitting, turn the water on and run the deck for a minute and the jobs done!

Mountfield 1430 garden tractor is a versatile machine as not only does it offer fantastic grass collection, with the fitting of the optional deflector the grass can be rear discharged, this is particularly useful for long grass.

Being able to mulch the grass is a great feature and with the fitting of the optional mulching plug the 1430 becomes a great mulching tractor.  When the conditions are right you can mulch the grass and achieve the same finish as if you had collected, you really can't tell!  There is also the benefit of returning vital natural fertiliser to your lawn.
